A Canadian can obtain a TN visa or TN status by obtaining a job offer from a US employer, and the job offer has to be based on the professionals listed under the NAFTA Agreement. Once you have the job offer and you have the required supporting documentations, that package can be presented at the port of entry and you can obtain a TN status up to three years.
