M. Elka Zagazeta Garcia
M. Elka Zagazeta Garcia received her Bachelor in Science from the University of Toronto in June 1998. Prior to practicing law, she worked at the Biospecimen Repository at the Mount Sinai Hospital located in Toronto. She obtained her J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan, USA in 2005. She completed accreditation proceedings through the National Committee of Accreditation in Ottawa (NCA). Elka is an Accredited Family Law Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM). Elka worked and articled in a multidisciplinary firm in North York with an emphasis in family and civil litigation. She co-founded Zagazeta Garcia LLP. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and Peel Law Association. Elka is also a member of the American Bar Association.
